1st National Conference on Internet of Things: Industry and Agriculture
Dr. Rashti, the scientific secretary of the 1st national Internet of Things (IoT) conference said: Considering the existence of numerous natural resources and a large volume of agricultural products and various industries in Khuzestan, the implementation of the Internet of Things solution will help to improve the conditions and economy of the province and the country.
According to ISNA Dr. Mohammad Javad Rashti stated in this conference that, was held on November 28th in Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz: In this way, productivity in the use of resources will increase and security and well-fare will also improve. Considering the existence of great natural resources and a large volume of agricultural products and various industries in Khuzestan, the implementation of the Internet of Things solution helps to improve the conditions and economy of the province and the country.
Dr. Rashti pointed out: As university professors we consider ourselves obliged to take steps in the direction of training human resources specialized in this field, and in this regard, a master's course was designed in the Internet of Things two years ago. Currently, this field has been established in Iran and Iraq and has received permission to admit students.
He continued saying that: The establishment of this field was done with the help of the European Union and domestic universities, and we are trying to equip the relevant laboratories.
Dr. Rashti also added: with the cooperation of the Internet of Things Development Center, the first Internet of Things conference was designed and we informed various industries. Accordingly in this field, we received more than 60 articles, of which 15 articles were in the field of agriculture, 10 articles were in Internet of Things security, 10 articles were in systems and platforms, and the rest were in medical IT, artificial intelligence, and technology management in Internet of Things. Ultimately, 15 articles were accepted. Dr. Rashti added that: In this conference, workshops were held and two foreign colleagues also participated in a meeting regarding the challenges of artificial intelligence.
