The Materials Science and Engineering Department (MSE) was established in 2000 at Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz (SCU), providing services for graduate and undergraduate students in B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. programs in welding, characterization, and selection of materials. At the moment, having 15 faculty members, 9 laboratories, and 1 research center, this department has been considered as the most active group in the southwestern part of the country.
